Privacy
This short stub explains how Bibeero handles cookies, photos, searches, and contact data. It is not legal advice.
Operator
Bibeero is operated by Creabyte. Legal imprint and operator details: creabyte.com / creabyte.com/impressum. creabyte.com/impressum
Necessary cookies
Session, age-gate, and security cookies keep the site working (login, CSRF, preference storage).
Optional cookies
If you accept all cookies, we may store light analytics or preference cookies. You can choose necessary-only instead.
Photos (Identify and ratings)
Photos you upload to Identify or add to a rating are stored and linked to your user account. Without signing in, Identify photos are linked to a pseudonymous guest key derived from your IP address; the IP address itself is not stored with the photo.
Identify attempts and their photos are deleted automatically after the periods listed under “How long we keep data”. Photos you confirmed while signed in may stay as private reference images until your account is deleted.
We use the photos internally to improve recognition and as training material for recognition models. If you confirm an Identify result while signed in, your photo may be stored as a private reference image for that beer.
Identify photos are not published. Exceptions you trigger yourself: a photo added to a rating is shown with that rating, according to the visibility you choose for the rating. If you send a photo in for review (unknown beer), the administrators may use it as the image of a new catalog entry.
Deletion: you remove a rating photo by deleting the rating. For other photos, tell us via the contact form which photos (or all) we should delete. If your account is deleted, we also delete your Identify attempts with their photos and the reference images you confirmed.
Searches
Catalog searches and Identify requests are logged to count the free daily quota and, when you are signed in, to show your recent searches. Without signing in, a search is linked to a pseudonymous guest key derived from your IP address; the IP address itself is not stored.
Beer suggestions
If you suggest a missing beer, we store your suggestion (beer details, link, note and optional photo) with your user account, so the team can review it and tell you the result by in-app message and e-mail. Pending suggestions are not public. When a suggestion is approved, the beer details and the photo become part of the public catalog (without your name); the private copy of the photo is then deleted, as it is when a suggestion is rejected. Your suggestions are deleted with your account; beers already added stay in the catalog.
How long we keep data
Data older than these periods is deleted automatically once a day. Your account, ratings, Keller and lists stay until you delete them; open contact messages and pending submissions stay until they are handled.
