Server logs

When you open a page, the web server stores the IP address, the time, the address requested and the browser identifier. This serves operation and security.

Plate numbers

The characters you type are sent to the server to draw the image and appear in the direct link. They are stored only when you save a plate in your account or create a QR code (20 minutes).

Invisible origin mark in the image

Every generated image carries an invisible mark, in its pixels and in the file's metadata. It contains at most the address and a short text of this website, the date on which the image was drawn, and a digital signature. With the signature the operator can prove that an image comes from here. The mark contains nothing about you: no account, no email address, no IP address and not the characters you entered.

Account

For an account we store the display name, the email address (encrypted) and a password hash. Account and saved plates can be deleted.

Protection against automated sign-ups

When you create an account or reset your password, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is filling in the form. Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical details about your browser. Turnstile is not loaded on any other page.

Cookies and local storage

Technically necessary are a session cookie, a cookie for the language and a draft in your browser’s local storage. They are not used for advertising.

Google Analytics

Only with your consent do we measure usage with Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited). Data may be transferred to the USA. Plate numbers and direct links are not transmitted. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
